Tipton Signboards Tipton Signboards
Anyone entering Tipton on Hwy 130 has a new sight to see - the Tipton Lions Club put up a signboard as a Christmas gift to the city for 2011. The Lions have erected a sign on the north end of Tipton and a sign on the south end of Tipton on Hwy 38.
MANY thanks to Rodne Wendt, our fabricator, and Keith Whitlatch, Tom Fiegen, Alvin Wright, Raldo Horman, Teresa Reed, Dean Doerscher, Lois and Ron Salmonson, Dave Geinzer, Judy Archer, Randy Barclay, Don Drager, Cody Eliason, and the City of Tipton.

The signs have been completed in 2014. Please watch for them as you enter the City of Tipton.

Flags Over Tipton Flags Over Tipton
The Tipton Lions are looking forward to 2014-2015 - another exciting year for getting the flags out around the City of Tipton! We've added even more homes and businesses for this year.

If you are interested in having a flag for your yard or business, please see a Lions Club member and we will help you! We take new subscription up to the first of May every year. We do have a sign up sheet in the Conservative in May of that year.

When we receive your subscription, we contact Iowa OneCall, then install a receiver in your yard, flush to the ground. (This holds the flag pole) For five holidays per year - Memorial Day, Flag Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Veterans Day - we will install a large, beautiful American flag in your yard at dawn and retrieve it that evening. (The flags are occasionally left out longer for some holidays, if they fall on a weekend.)

This is a beautiful way to celebrate your patriotism! Join over 400 subscribers who show their pride!
