Paul Smith Presented Melvin Jones Award Paul Smith Presented Melvin Jones Award
At the Feb. 5th Ames Breakfast Lions Club Meeting, Paul Smith was presented the Melvin Jones plaque and pin by David Williams, President. Paul has not only served through Lions in the communities where he lived, but made a statewide impact through the "Kids Sight" program in Iowa by helping that program move toward digital vision screening of young children in cooperation with the Iowa Lions Eye Bank. Recently, Paul extended his service impact nationally by organizing the "Wreath Across America" event in Ames, joining over 800 other sites in remembering our veterans and teaching patriotism. Paul is Funeral Director at the Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.
