President’s Mid-year Message, January 2015 Hello CR Noon Lions!
Yes, mid-year. Are we at the mid-point to our yearly goals? I have planned to bring two new members in this year. One is close and the second is, well......waiting to be invited—yes, merely invited. What’s my excuse? Ask what’s keeping you from inviting a friend, family member or someone just plain interesting. So, just ask. You will both be glad you did.

Speaking of service, here are some ways other Lions clubs are serving their communities. Let’s ask what we can learn from their examples to improve how we serve our community (source: January 2015 Lions
1.Books for Tonga: Lions of Alaska helped after a tsunami. 2.Castleton Lions of VT donated playground equipment. 3.Corpus Christi Lions give dictionaries to 3rd graders.
4. Ft.Wayne Lions donated $1000 to their local children’s zoo.
5. Riverdale Leos collected and distributed 1⁄2ton of food.
How else can “We Serve”? Think about it and let us know. Share your thoughts at our Club Business meeting on January 29, 2015.
Remember, January 13th is the birthday of our founder, Melvin Jones. Even though CR Noon Lions don’t have a specific service planned for that day, look for an opportunity to go the extra mile to serve someone that day: Lions Worldwide Week of Service: http://lions100.org/EN/worldwide-week- of-service.php
