President's Message
Hello Lions,

Thoughout the year I have been impressed with the quality of the speakers
at our club meetings. Recently we had Phil Larabee of the Monticello
Lions Club talk with enthusiasm and passion about the charitable programs
supported by Iowa Lions Foundation. Yesterday Doug Wilson talked
about the Paving For Progress program and the many criteria that
determine the priority of the specific projects. We have had
representatives of charities talk about their activities, architects report on
their building projects and city officials talk about the state of the city. If
you have ideas for speakers please consider volunteering to be speaker
chair for a month.

We recently received a letter from Brian Krob Principal of Wright
Elementary School thanking us for our “gift of time and creativity in
producing plaques for our 3rd Grade art displays”. He goes on to for or
continued volunteer efforts that promote a positive caring learning
community. Thanks to all those who volunteer at Wright School.
I look forward to our Chili and Soup Supper on April 2nd at Noelridge
Christian Church. It always turns out to be an important fund raiser for our
club.

I also look forward to seeing each of you at our club meetings during the
month of February.
Yours in Lionism,
Ralph Wasik
