Hello Lions, Happy springtime. Happy Easter. I hope you all had a great weekend.
I would like to explore some ideas that might help us to grow our membership. The more members we have, the more volunteers we have to work on our charity projects. Also we would have more volunteers to work on our fund raisers. A healthy club is a growing club. We have been growing as evidenced by the several new members who have joined this year, but I think we can do even better.
At the recent Board Meeting we discussed ideas to help attract new members. One idea is to have one of our weekly meetings in the evening. Potentially we could meet at 6:00pm once a month. This would allow younger people (not retired) to attend some meetings and become involved in the club. What do you think?
You will get a chance to express your opinion this month (April) in the form of a survey. Obviously a lot of details would have to be worked out, like time, day of the week, arrangements with the Long Branch, etc. Maybe you have ideas on how to attract more new members. There will be a place on the survey form for the expression of those ideas.
This month on April 2nd we will have our Chili and Soup Supper at the Noelridge Christian Church from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. I look forward to seeing you there. Also remember our annual Awards Banquet will be held on Friday April 8th at the Long Branch, Social hour begins at 6:00 pm and the dinner and program follow at 7:00 pm. I think you would enjoy this festive evening.
Yours in Lionism,
